This probably crosses a few categories but couldn't find the best one, so Cloud/SaaS seems semi-appropriate...I recently got a Google Home from a very nice GZ member and it's a pretty cool toy. It's mostly working well, except I have been unable to get my Google Calendar integrated with it. In fact, when I launch the Google Home app on my Android OR iPhone device, and go to the Calendar settings screen, it just says "Couldn't Retrieve the Settings, Please Check Your Connection". This is the case on home WiFi, work WiFi, or cellular network.A bit strange but I checked a few forums and found a number of people with similar issues. I tried pretty much everything they mentioned, from changing regions to changing settings within the Android OS to allow for services to access Calendar etc, but nothing has helped.I even had an online chat with the Google Home support people and they've logged a ticket for me, stating that this is something they've heard a bit of noise about and they'll "get back to me when there's a solution". I'm not too happy with the situation since calendar is a pretty big reason for buying the Google Home in the first place, it's a core service that's not working. Not that I'm unhappy with the GZ member at all, it's Google's problem!I'm wondering if anyone else has a Google Home or Mini and if they've got Calendar working on their device? If so did you have any issues or was it smooth from the start? Did you have to troubleshoot to get it working?
