I'm returning to website admin after a few years away, so be gentle. . .I'm looking after a community group's website and they're thinking of accepting new members & renewals on their website. I've looked around at payment gateways and like the look of SwipeHQ (yes, I know they crashed a year ago but they have been taken over by a pretty legit looking multinational). I was thinking of having a form with a Buy Now button plus a few form fields (eg name, number). Would this be doable without the need for a shopping cart, which is probably too complex for me? In my previous existence I used Paypal Buy Now buttons and found them pretty much OK. I'd use Paypal again but I was really annoyed by their trying to get users to join Paypal; I suspect they abandoned transactions because of this.
